Katie
Katie (b.1995) has autism and lives in Broadstairs with support. She likes shopping, bowling, walking and art.
Covid-19 made life hard for Katie, but through her passion for painting and one-to-one and Zoom art classes, she has managed her anxiety and helped her feel great about herself and her artwork again.
Katie loves to create art around her love for animals, in particular birds and badgers. Katie will try new ideas and is brave enough to work on giant canvasses at the studio.
As a self-taught drawer of birds Katie was awarded by Unique Art Awards in 2016, a national art competition for disabled artists. Through composition guidance, Katie’s paintings have now developed and lead to many sales. Her paintings have new homes locally, in London and elsewhere.  Â
